This painting is of my mother's garden. It's a beautiful tangle of colours and activity. In it there are 3 monarch butterflies, and 2 swallowtail butterflies. I like the perspective of it because it allows you to see through the eyes of a child, standing maybe 3 or 4 feet tall, looking right into the detail of how things are made, and be full of wonder once again!
